To the Citizens and Visitors of Beaufort,

It is my sincere pleasure to address you as the Chief of the Beaufort Police Department. The department has a historical tradition of commitment to the community and all of those who visit, shop, and conduct business in the City of Beaufort.

The purpose of this website is to make the public aware of the functions and services provided by their Police Department. Through this knowledge, an informed public can better communicate to us their needs and concerns, it is also through this communication and cooperation that we can, together, improve our community.

Our commitment to our community is embodied by the dedication and professionalism of the men and women of the Beaufort Police Department. Our Officers have a deep and abiding interest in the welfare and quality of life of our citizens. It is my intention, as Chief of Police, to maintain the high standards that you have come to expect of the Beaufort Police Department. Each officer has signed and agreed to a "Service Guarantee", our "Mission Statement", and our "Total Quality Service". Our Officers understand that they are held accountable for their actions. Under this management philosophy, I feel that the Citizens of Beaufort can have the proper interaction with their Police Department.
